We're approved!!!

After 5 1/2 months we are finally approved for adoption!!!  We are so excited and way nervous!  With LDS Family Social Services, the birth mom is the one who picks the couple.  This is what makes us nervous because it could be tomorrow or it could be five years from now that we finally get picked!  We have so much respect for the families that are on the other side of this.  They are also going through an emotional roller coaster.  We feel at peace that this is what our Heavenly Father has in store for us.  One day we know that we are going to be able to be parents and will forever be grateful to those that make that possible. 

We went to a lot of meetings and trainings and the social workers said that a lot of families get picked through word of mouth, meaning a friend of a friend knew someone that wanted to place and they told them to check out their awesome friends :)  Come check out our adoption blog.  Click on the picture to the right and it will take you there and you can also click on a link once you are there to view our LDS Family Services profile.  Also, if you wanted to help spread the word, you can add our button to your blog so your friends can get to know us too.  To add a button just add a text gadget and cut and copy the code on our adoption blog and post it.  For some reason you have to publish it and go back in and edit it to delete the little box with a "x" in it.  I can't figure out how to make it go away.  If anyone does, let me know! 

We also wanted to just express our thanks to all of our friends and family that have been so supportive in our decision.  Also, to those that helped write reference letters.  To those that sent texts just to see how we were doing.  To those that wrote sent me letters on Mother's Day.  To those that came over when I was having my crying days.  To those that took me out of my house to get my mind off of it.  To those that came to our approval party last week and brought gifts...the list goes on and on...Thank!  We love you!!
