Wow, I have a lot to catch up on! We are doing wonderful! I was just telling Ryan the other day that I am very content with where we are at right now. I still want a baby a ton but Cowboy, our new puppy, is keeping me busy :).

October:

We were able to get a chance to meet with a beautiful girl who wanted to meet us to see if we might be the parents to her cute little boy on the way. I was so nervous I lost 10 lbs the week before our meeting!!

We met and really fell in love with her and her baby. The agency said they normally don't let you meet unless they decide first that you are going to be the parents...but she wanted to meet which I don't blame her at all. I would want to too if I was in her shoes. The agency allowed the visit because she was only interested in us and had only emailed us. She was so adorable. I still get a little sad just typing about it. She decided to go in another direction. We don't know if she picked someone else or if she decided to keep her baby. Either way it was part of our adoption journey and really opened our eyes. Ryan was SOOO excited to have a boy! We had a lot of sleepless nights just day dreaming of being parents. It was so neat to finally have those feeling with Ryan. It made us a lot closer and made us realize that Heavenly Father does have a plan for us. Overall, I am thankful for the opportunity and not for one second was I upset with this birth mother. She showed courage and love. We wish her the best of luck for the future.

Halloween:

Our friends begged us to have the party this year again even though neither of us really wanted to have it at our house. I'm glad we did though because, like always, it was tons of fun! Preston and Megan came finally this year, he always has to work, their costume was the best!

Park City Haunted Tour:

Crystal had me and Jackie buy tickets off of City Deals for this Park City Haunted Tour. It was actually a lot of fun other than RJ's driving scared us all to death :) You just walk around old main street and hear stories about how they think Park City is haunted.

This building is an old hotel that was in business a couple of times but 3x they have had different owners because the owners get so freaked out about what goes on inside. It has sat empty for the last 4 years because no one wants it.

Fishing with Jackie, Rylan, and John:

We have gotten so much use out of the fishing pond. I was working one day and Jackie text me if I knew where any fishing ponds were because John and Rylan had never been fishing. I was like "Hello! Jackie we have one up at the cabin!" They came up and had so much fun. Rylan is seriously the cutest kid ever!

Ryan was working late one Friday night so I invited Rylan and Alex and Jackie to Boondocks. Rylan and Alex loved playing together. They loved the volcanoe that blew up fire at the mini golf...Rylan stood really far away from it. When the fire came up Alex would say, "Holy Freakin Cow!"

Ryan's Birthday

For Ryan's birthday we did something a little different than we usually do (we usually celebrate it during the Halloween party). We bought some pumpkins from Brother Sill in our ward and had Ryan's family over and all carved pumpkins. It was sooo much fun. I feel bad because he wasn't super excited with the presents I got him. He already has everything he wants!! I got him ear plugs for skeet shooting, gun cleaning kit (which I guess he already has), but he was super excited about his fly fishing pole case we got at Cabellas the day of his birthday. He loves that store. I love how pationate he is about fishing. He goes at least 3 times a week. Like I said earlier, we are so happy right now in our lives, I don't think I have seen Ryan more happy...he always is super happy usually but for some reason the past six months we both are just really happy, it's hard to explain.

Hunting

I bought a deer hunting tag so that Ryan could go hunting for his first time. My family is REALLY into hunting so when I married Ryan they could NOT believe that he didn't have his hunting license. He is now signed up to take it with Jayden, Klint, and Kresta! We didn't get a deer but we were there when Jon got his deer.

November:

I had surgery. It is supposed to help us get pregnant. We will see if it works. If not, we are still on the adoption list. I have so many friends and family that came and took care of me. I guess I was pretty loopy. I'm all better now and feel really good!

Meet COWBOY:

We got him the day before Thanksgiving. I had been looking at dogs for a couple of weeks at adoption agencies and the pound etc. I found Cowboy on ksl and fell in love with him. I went and looked at him and loved him even more. Then Ryan and I went and looked at another dog and she was not the right dog for us! So that night the people called us again about Cowboy and they lived in Morgan and so I begged Ryan if we could go and just "Look" at him on the way to the cabin. He said sure...then I asked if we could get some dog food just in case to take up to the cabin....haha he realized that there was probably no hope and that we were going to get him if we got food, collar, and a leash :)

Even though Ryan doesn't admit it and says he is my dog...he feel in love with him. I could tell the moment he saw him. He is such a good puppy. He is a German Short Hair/Border Collie mix. We were going to call him Burton and call him Burt for short, then Boots because he has boots but it reminded Ryan of Dora and Boots...we finally picked Cowboy!!

About Cowboy:

-He loved his squeeky football the best

-He loves his cousins Missy and Brownie

-He crawls all over...I seriously need to record it because it's hilarious. It's a full on army crawl

-He wants to be friends with the cats but they are being a little snobby right now

-He thinks the Vacuum is hurting us because he barks and attacks it

-He LOVES naps with us

Thanksgiving

We slept over at the cabin Thanksgiving eve so we could be there for the annual skeet shooting contest. Kresta won for the girls and BJ won for the boys. It was tons of fun. Kresta, Treasure, and Rielee were all new this year so it was fun that they actually came out this year!!

Then we went down to spend the day with the Jones'. It was at Shelly and Ron's this year. It was delicious! Bronson and Abby and Jamie and Daniel were there too with their kids. Cowboy came and had his first accident! Shelly said we are even now because Cowboy peed on her carpet and before my mission we went horseback riding and she was laughing so hard she peed her pants on the saddle :) haha

Then that night we went up to the cabin again for Pie. The next day we went and cut our christmas tree down. It is perfect other then it curves at the top..so much that we can't put our star on it. I love getting our own trees though because they aren't perfect!

Then on Saturday we went snowboarding with the whole family at Wolf Creek. We all got season passes up there. It is going to be so fun. Even if it's only two lifts! It was still super fun! Otis was so adorable. He loved it. He was about as wide as he was tall with all of his winter clothes on.

Each general conference we usually take a four wheeling trip. This year we decided to just spend it at the cabin. For my dad's birthday we got him tiger trout to plant in his pond at the cabin. It has been a RiOt!! It is so much fun because you don't have to wait long before you catch one. The kids love to catch grass hoppers to fish with. It's also neat to throw dog food out and watch the fish go nuts over it.

If you haven't noticed, Ryan is obsessed with fishing lately. That's all I hear about. It's fun seeing him so passionate about something. He is in HEaVeN up there. I love it!

We went to St. George and Las Vegas with just the girls. It was so much fun! Kresta's mom lives down there in a beautiful house and was out of town and let us intrude! The highlight of the trip was Little Mermaid. It was so AwESome! I've never been a really big play person, but this was so freaking fun! The special effects were just out of this world. My favorite part was when Ariel saved Eric from the ocean!

We went to Las Vegas for one of the days to shop for furniture. We didn't come back with any furniture but Natalie showed us a way cute store. We bought SOOO much! The Three Amigos

Tanja and I were able to just go back for the weekend to Louisiana and see Sister Hughes go through the temple. It was kind of weird going back down mEmOry LAnE! It was like we were back on the mission again. It was super fun.

Sister Hughes was baptized last year and this year she was able to go through the temple. It was so neat to be able to witness her go through the temple all in white and get sealed to her husband who had just passed away right before we started teaching her.

One of my favorite mission moments was when Tanja and I were teaching Sister Hughes and she would never pray for us at the end of the lesson. We decided that we would just call on her and shut our eyes and stay quiet until she started to pray...we were all on our knees and she said the prayer. We were all so excited that we ended up in a DoGGy piLe on the ground!

When we first arrived in Dallas we went to the rent a car place and we got into this car and it had a gps system in it and I said, Wow! You really got a nice car for us!! We were heading out and the guy at the gate was checking all of our information and realized that we were totally in the wrong car :) We had to turn around and park the car and go find the other car we had rented.

We got to the hotel late but the next morning we were able to have breakfast with the Malone's, Sister Hughes, Dean Williams and his wife and his mom Terri, Sister Swanson and her husband, and Sister Moses. It was so much fun!!

The temple session was really good. We were nervous for Sister Hughes and how she would react. For the most part it went well but there were some funny parts I will not blog about. Tanja...I'm sure you are laughing right now if you are reading this :)

Lately I have been SuPer excited to have a baby! I've decided to get the baby room all ready because in Field of Dreams they said, "If you build it, they will come" :)

My Sister'n'Law is giving me one of her white cribs (She had two from the twins). I just bought this cute dresser on KSL to be my dresser/changing table.

I also have been buying clothes....I also hide alot of them so Ryan won't know! haha. I just found the cutest shoe store online, Pediped. I bought three pair of shoes last week! I will have to attach more pictures soon.

We were lucky to bring Krew with us camping. He was a riot!!

Grandpa just walked into this river with his levis to go fishing. He was soaked! I took off Krew's shorts so he was just in his undies so he didn't get wet. He was fine for a little bit but when he saw grandpa he had to get his shorts on too. He said, "I want to be like grandpa, he has his pants on and it's okay if they get a little wet!" haha, he loves his Grandpa.

Young Women Temple Walk:

I am in the Beehives in our ward. I have LoVeD it! This summer we challenged the girls to set their focus to the temple. We decided to walk to the Bountiful Temple from our church: Approx 18 miles. There were some complaining and growns when we announced it but I think it turned out to be an AmAzING experience for them. We had them prepare not only spiritually but physically too. We would walk two times a week and up'd the miles each time.

We also walked in honor of someone that has been an inspiration to us in our lives. I walked in honor of Truena Love, who lives in Ruston, LA. She just passed away in the spring. She was an amazing pioneer for the church in the south. She was so faithful and her and her husband will always have a special place in my heart. They adopted me as their own grandchild because I was also Love! As I was coming home from the temple walk I received a call from Brother Love's daughter who lives in Kaysville. She said Brother Love was in town visiting and wanted to have dinner. Ironic? I don't think so, I think it was a tender mercy from our Heavenly Father!

One of my beehives, Christina, is autistic. She is very open about it and is very good at explaining it to us girls. I love Christina. She has something about her that is powerful!! She LOVES Mario! She decided to walk for Mario and Luigi because they are such an example to her because they have many trials that they have to go through and they still just push each other until they get to the castle. She related it to us and how we too have trials and just need to get to the castle. It was amazing. I think seeing her get to the temple was my favorite part. We were unsure if she wanted to do the walk because at first she said she was NOT going to walk it but she started showing up for all the walks and was so excited the night before the walk. She started crying at the end and I thought we might have pushed her too hard...nope, she proved me wrong once again. She just said between her sobs, "This is wonderful, just wonderful!" I love her!

Afterward we had the temple president talk to us. He was so inspirational. He talked to us about how some members of the church have to sacrifice a lot to travel miles to get to the temple and usually they will have the once in a lifetime chance to get to the temple so the church has a fund and it will pay for their way one time. They travel on bus, ship, plane, etc to get there and will stay for about 3 days and skip lunch and dinner and just do sessions all day long from 7 to 10 at night.

He also told us about how the Bountiful temple has been blessed with an angel without wings. There was this boy that was born without arms or legs that lives in Kaysville and he really wanted to go to the temple. He came and just was going to do confirmations but the temple president felt impressed to ask him to do baptisms. The boy that it was impossible but he had faith and he was able to be baptized for those on the other side. The president said, "Can you imagine how neat it would be on the other side and get your work done? Can you imagine how much more it would mean if an angel with out wings performed your baptism?"

RyAN AnD I hAvE dEciDed to BikE to St. GeOrge fRom OuR hOuSe!

In Young Women's a couple weeks ago there was a story about one of the 70's, Ben Banks, having the tradition with his family to ride their bikes each summer to a different location, Lake Powell, St. George, Strawberry, etc. I haven't been able to stop thinking about how cool it would be to accomplish something like that! I was nervous to ask Ryan because he is pretty practical and I thought he would think it would be a crazy idea...he did think it was crazy but he was all for it! :) I'm so excited.

Yes, some of you bikers are probably thinking we are going to die! We are so out of shape! Ryan and I went for a bike ride on Sunday and we had his sister, Erin, drop us off at the top of the hill so we wouldn't have to go up it! haha But we are determined! We have found some really great paths around to start going each night. We are going to take a couple saturdays and do longer rides to help prepare. We have the goal to go to Provo by the end of September: I've mapped that route out and it's approx 75 miles!! We decided to bike there and just stay in a hotel for fun. We would like to go to St. George before the end of the year. Wish us luck!!

4th of July is my favorite holiday I think (Ryan said I say that about every holiday) but I really think the 4th is my favorite. I love the breakfasts in the morning, parade, carnival, baseball games, bbq's, family, and fireworks. I just love it. I also love that we can celebrate our freedom....oh my goodness, this is a side note from my post but I have to share it:

The other day my Uncle Joe was driving through the subdivision and saw Jayden, my 9 year old nephew, jump off his bike and put his hand over his heart. Joe stopped and asked Jayden what he was doing. We live by HAFB and so when they play the national anthem we can hear it. Jayden said he heard the music start playing and was paying respect to our country. haha it's even funnier if you know Jayden. He is a the most boyish boy I know and to picture him doing this on the side of the street when no one is around cracks me up!

Girl Birthday Sleep Over

We started giving the nieces and nephews the option to get a birthday present or a sleepover. All of them have decided to have a fun sleepover. The girls decided they wanted to have one giant sleep over with all of the nieces. We went up to the cabin and made rings, necklaces, and made tie-die shirts.

Adoption conference and meeting this mystery couple!

My mom and I went to the FSA National adoption conference held just right here in Layton. Ryan joked that we had our wedding reception at the Davis Conference Center and now we are returning there to learn more about getting a baby!

This was an awesome conference and I'm so glad I took the day off to go. Here are some of the things we learned:

Sister Beck came (Loved her talk!)
-Told about how her father lost a baby and his wife at an early age but he decided the day of the funeral that "This trail will not defeat me". I loved that! What a good attitude and perspective.
-Talked about how we are all adopted into Heavenly Father's covenant. Adoption isn't a new thing. It's been around forever. So has infertility. Hannah, Samuel's mom, in the scriptures had great sorrow with infertility.

More things I learned:

Someone shared the scripture in 1st Nephi about how Nephi says "I will go and do the things which the Lord has commanded me, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the things which he commands." They said that the Lord has commanded us to multiply and replenish the earth but for those of us that can't have children on our own, he has provided a way to accomplish it: Adoption. I thought that was an awesome way to think about it.

Blood is Mortal, we only have that mortal blood for a split second in the eternities. The children that we adopt are forever, ya they don't have our blood, but they are sealed to us.

The scripture in Acts that says "It is more blessed to give than it is to receive" those courageous birth parents that place their babies are so unselfish and truly are my heros.

And for the Mystery Couple:
Before we even started the adoption process I got onto itsaboutlove.org and started going through the profiles looking for couples that I would pick if I were placing my own baby. I found a couple that struck me. There was something about them that touched me and I was drawn to them. I know I'm crazy, but I kept checking them out.

Months later, I'm sitting at the conference and I see a couple that looks really, really familiar. I figure it out, they were senior missionaries in the Jackson, Mississippi mission and I served with them. I went and started talking to Sister Warner and her husband. I asked them what they were doing there and they said that their daughter was hoping to adopt and gave me one of her adoption card....it was that couple I had been watching!!! Talk about small world. I got to meet them and they are even more neat in person than on paper. It's hard to explain. I just was so connected to them before I even met them and BAM I get to meet them in real life and loved them! I wish them the best of luck and hope to once again cross paths because I would really love to just chat.

My cute cousins had a team and someone dropped out and they asked me to tag a long. I had about a month to prepare. A lot of people think I am this great runner...I have no clue why. I ran a 1/2 marathon two years ago and haven't really ran since! I just sign up for things to motivate me to get out of bed in the morning :) I really enjoy running though so I'm glad they asked me so that I would start running again. I missed it. I was runner number 12 so my legs were up some of trappers loop to Snowbasin, Oakley, and I finished in Park City which was neat because the rest of the team ran with me past the finish line. When we were done I thought, I don't think I can ever do this again...three weeks later as I'm sitting here writing this I am thinking of how fun it was (because I can't remember how tired and sore I was). The company was great. In my van was Jordan, Nicole, Caralee, Jarred, and Sam. I love my cousins and it was neat to cheer each other on. I have more pictures of the actual van ride and running but it's my brothers camera and I don't have a card reader for it so those pictures are to come...
My favorite was the people watching. So many crazy people, this is just a couple that Ryan snapped a picture of:

This cute little guy, Alex, had a funny conversation with Uncle Ryan this week at our softball game. It went like this:

Ryan: "Alex, do you want to ride home with me in the jeep?"
Alex: "Yep!"
Heather: "What about me? Don't you want to ride in my car?"
Alex: "Nope, I'm ridin in Ryan's jeeeeep!" (As he runs to the jeep with his white hair a flowin in the wind)
Now, they are riding in the jeep:
Alex: "Who's that seat for?" As he points to the front passenger seat
Ryan: "It's for Heather when she rides in here with me."
Alex: "Can I ride in hers seat since she isn't here?"
Ryan: "Nope, little kids have to sit in the back seat."
Alex: "Are you going to have kids?"
Ryan: "Ya, I hope soon."
Alex: "Are you going to build them?"
Ryan: "No, we can't build them, we're broken."
Alex: "Who is going to build them?"
Ryan: "I don't know yet."
Alex: "I think Jesus is going to build them"

Wow! Way funny, but super cute too. How smart is he to know that Jesus is going to help build our baby! I love this kid. He cracks me up. All of the neices and nephews have the funniest questions about adoption. The biggest questions we get from them is "When are you getting your baby?". We probably get that questions every Sunday at grandma and grandpa's house. They are so excited to have another cousin to play with.

For some reason I couldn't comment on Faye's little blog. I wanted to thank them for putting our adoption link on Faye's blog. When I tried to comment it kepts saying their was an error so I thought I would just take a moment and post on my blog about little Faye. Faye is my cousin, Stacey's, little girl who was diagnosed with Leukemia at just three years old. Stacey and her husband Nick live in Texas, which is far from home. Instead of being angry with God and finding fault, they stood strong and faithful. They picked out the blessings that have come along the way instead of complaining about how life is so hard. They are truly amazing. I just wanted to let Stacey and Nick know how much I look up to them and how I wished I could be more like them. The fact that they put our link on her blog is a perfect example of how great they are, still trying to help others even though they are faced with this huge trial. AmAZing! I love you guys!

We are having a fundraiser to help little Faye out. Please come and support. It is going to be tons of fun! Their is a carnival for the kids, 5k for you runners(and wanna be runners like me), silent auction, garage sale, food, music, etc. Come out and have fun!

Highlights of the last month

I love having a blog because I can justify not writing in my journal! I'm glad I have it! It's crazy to look through it and realize the things you've done but have totally forgotten about. This past month has been super crazy! I will try to keep it simple:

I love Rielee. She has the funniest sense of humor and I'm so excited to get to know her more. She was a beautiful bride. Karl had a smile from ear to ear. Then we had a party to celebrate our infertility! haha We went up to the cabin and shot guns and had a camp fire. We have such great friends!

Then we went for the longest camping trip of our lives: 9 days!

First we started with a family reunion down in Panguich, UT where my Grandma Woolsey is from. It was so fun to get together with all of the cousins!

Some funny things that happened:

-Kory got another dog, Brownie! So cute. It's funny because Ryan wouldn't let us have it so I talked Kory into, even though our parents HATE the dog they have. Brownie actually has helped Harley be better!

-I found the cutest Gold cowboy boots. You are probably thinking, "Heather, how many freaking pair of cowboy boots do you have to have and what are you going to do with Gold ones???" It was funny because I wanted them but I wanted to find my sis, Natalie, to give me her opinion on them. I walked out of the store but went back because I just had to have them....when I got to the reunion Natalie said, "Heather, you have got to go buy these way cute cowboy boots! They wouldn't fit me but they would fit you!" I said, "Are they gold???" They were totally the same boots! haha I also bought little baby cowboy boots for our future baby!

-Alex was begging Natalie the whole time to go poop outside...it was the last day and he was over in the bushes and we asked him what he was doing and he said, "I'm goin poop in the bushes!"

-Kresta got minute to win it games! Pretty hilarious. Especially the cotton ball one with Natalie:

-Ryan wrecked and I guess it was pretty funny. He scraped his butt pretty bad and showed my mom and sister...never thought in a million years he would do that!!

-And last but not least, camping isn't camping unless Uncle Tom has a "SHiieeeet" moment (S**t drawn out really long). He locked his keys in the car as we were packed up ready to go and it echoed through the campground! haha I love it!

Then the Love's went home and we went to Marysvale all by ourselves. It was so nice and relaxing. The Phillips, from my mission, live there so it was fun to hang out with them. They took us to "Hoover's, not Hooters" and it was sooo good. Ryan rolled our four wheeler, luckily he wasn't on it! It was pretty funny. That's why I love having a four wheeler as old as us! If it breaks, it's no big deal!

Finally, we ended in Palisades State Park with the Jones' It is soo beautiful there. It was blowing so hard the first couple days our tent blew flat and we had to tie it to a tree to stay up! The boys golfed and Kelle and I rode along. I found tons of golf balls in the weeds! We also went four-wheeling. Uncle Paul and Aunt Chris were there too!

After 5 1/2 months we are finally approved for adoption!!! We are so excited and way nervous! With LDS Family Social Services, the birth mom is the one who picks the couple. This is what makes us nervous because it could be tomorrow or it could be five years from now that we finally get picked! We have so much respect for the families that are on the other side of this. They are also going through an emotional roller coaster. We feel at peace that this is what our Heavenly Father has in store for us. One day we know that we are going to be able to be parents and will forever be grateful to those that make that possible.

We went to a lot of meetings and trainings and the social workers said that a lot of families get picked through word of mouth, meaning a friend of a friend knew someone that wanted to place and they told them to check out their awesome friends :) Come check out our adoption blog. To those that took me out of my house to get my mind off of it. To those that came to our approval party last week and brought gifts...the list goes on and on...Thank! We love you!!

My cute husband is famous! Okay so it's like for 1/2 second, but still!! Don't blink, you will miss it. It's right at the first and he's the one in the lake fishing. Last year we were at Jenny Lake in the Uintah's and while he was fishing and I was reading a book on the shore someone came and asked if they could video Ryan. I'm in it too, again, just for a split second. I'm right after Ryan sitting in a camping chair :)

We went with the Jones' to go to see the Lion King in Las Vegas. It was sooo good! I'm not big on plays and musicals but this was AwESomE! Erin and Derek gambled but Kelle wouldn't let me :) j/k We just laughed because Erin and Derek went to go gamble and they asked me if I wanted to come and before I could answere Kelle said, "Oh she wouldn't want to go do that!"

JACKSON HOLE:

We went to Jackson Hole for our annual ski trip in February. We only skied one day so the rest of the days were for quality relaxing time. It was so nice! We had won this ski trip at a Boy Scout auction earlier in the year. It came with two nights at the hotel we stayed at for our honeymoon, dinner for two at Bubba's restaurant, and two lift tickets to Snow King Ski Resort (it was a lot like Nordic Ski Resort, so not the best, but still really fun). Our favorite part about going to Jackson Hole is the animals. We love going on the elk refuge back roads because you see tons of animals. We saw a coyote, buffalo, lots of elk, and lots of mountain goats.

This is a truck that just sat there and let the goats lick the salt off their car forever! It's almost all clean :)

I didn't get enough speed and stopped on the top of the rail and sat on it. It was so embarrasing!

We ate at Billy's Burgers everyday! If you ever go to Jackson, Billy's is a must!!! They sit and cook the hamburgers right in front of you and they are by far the best hamburgers I've ever had!

I don't know what kind of animals these are but we saw them on our way home.

The Athey's:

Kevin and Kathy were living in Ruston, LA when I was there. They were attending the Louisiana Blind school. For one of Kathy's assignments at school she had to cook and prepare a meal for 50 people. She invited all of the missionaries and most the ward to come eat. It is so amazing that they can do so much with out their sight. They also get dropped off 10 miles from school and have to find their way home!!! She was baptized and married Kevin while I was there in Ruston.

They came to SLC for a weekend to visit and we took them to dinner. It was so fun catching up. They now have three children and Kevin is graduating soon from college. They showed us their laptop. It was NuTs! It was just a key board because the blind don't need a screen! When you typed it would push up the brail on a little line so that they could read what they just wrote or if they are looking on a website it would pop up so they could read it.

JAZZ YOUNG WOMEN ACTIVITY:

A girl in our ward works for the communication department for the Jazz. She offered to take the Young Women and us on a tour of the Energy Solutions building. We first met in the media room where all the reporters sit and watch the game and keep stats. She said for every game it's loaded with food and drinks for all of the media staff.

She said for her job she sets up all of the press conferences for the team, is there with the players when they get interviewers, and gets to travel with the team for away games. She said they ride on a private jet and you can order whatever food you want and don't even have to wear a set belt :).

She took us into the locker room. This was my favorite part because I couldn't get over how big their shoes are! They are HUGE! I walked in and grabbed a pair and said, "Oh My Gosh, these are huge!" and she hurried and grabbed me and told me to put it down. She thought I was one of the girls and we both laughed and laughed because she had just got done telling the girls to not touch anything and I walked in and didn't hear her say that and the first thing I did was pick them up!

HARMONY AND DEREK'S ROCK STAR PARTY:

Harmony said that she always wanted to do a rock star party so decided to do one for her birthday. It was so much fun. I love getting into costumes, even though I don't know if this one even looked like a rock star...I think I just looked like a hooker. Anyway, it was a BlAsT! We played a dance game on the wii and I loved it so much I borrowed Ryan's phone and bought it while we were still at the party. We went to Walmart afterward to buy groceries for dinner the next day and Ryan took his wig off so it didn't look like he was in a costume so I just looked like his "Escort" it was so embarrasing. People were staring and judging me :(

FINALLY, BABY RUBY:

Bj and Treasure called us around 11:00 Sunday night and said Ruby was coming! I threw the phone down and started running to the bedroom yelling, "Ryan, she's in labor"! We hurried and packed our over night bag and were on our way. It was like we were the ones having the baby! We had our bag, speeding like crazy, and just so excited. The kids were so excited to see their new sister!

Harmony and Ryan grew up together and I was able to meet Harmony and her husband, Derek, after Ryan and I were married (Actually, I think me and Harmony were on the same soccer team once when we were little but I can't remember for sure). I wanted to introduce you to them. They are going to be wonderful parents one day and maybe you can help. A new hope

Many of you already know, but I wanted to share with those that don't. Ryan and I have decided that adoption is the right path for us right now. We had a really neat experience in the temple a couple months ago that let us know that our Heavenly Father is also pleased with the decision. It is a new hope for us. It feels so good to hope for things again. There have been many things that have happened along the way that helped us with this decision. I also think that when my best friend placed her baby up for adoption a while ago it helped me to be able to see that other side of it. Those girls that place their child are really the strongest, most selfess girls. Adoption is a beautiful process and I often think about that little girl that my friend placed.

We have started the paperwork and have been to two meetings. The next meeting is this week. Hopefully we will be able to proceed quickly. We are just waiting on a couple Dr notes.

My biggest fears: We will have to wait a really long time to be picked. They said it is taking longer and longer because less people are placing and more people are wanting to adopt. I also am afraid that we will be picked and then at the last second it will fall through. All of these fears are worth it though because I know eventually we will be parents.

Kelle turned 50! Can you believe it? If you know Kelle you know she has the heart of a 20 year old. For example: for her 50th b-day party she wanted to do nothing but go laser tag. I hope to be as cool and hip as her one day.

She liked our 10 things we loved about each other so I thought I would do a 10 list for her:

Thumbs

If anyone know Ryan, you know that his nickname was "Thumbs" because he has a stubby thumb from cutting the tip off when he was 2 with tree branch cutters. It seems amazing that this happened because his mom is a very good mom.

Well he was at work sweepin streets and the truck stopped working so his boss told him how to fix the truck. He started banging on the broom and a there was a piece of metal that slowly got sharper and sharper as the broom would rub up against it. Ryan slammed his thumb, the stubby one, against it as he was trying to hit the broom. He said it didn't start bleeding at first but he pulled if off the metal and the blood started to come. It was so deep it cut half the tendon. He not only had to get it stitched, but they had to stitch the inside of the tendon as well. Ouch! I wish I had a picture of his big bandage because it was hilarious.

We went to St. George a couple of weekends ago with the Jones'. It was super fun. We decided to go down early because I really wanted to go to the temple down there. I swear Satan knew that we wanted to go to the temple because he was doing everything to stop us.

First Ryan got called into work and had to work a little later. Then at 4:45pm he called me and said that he was going to the hospital because he had cut his thumb open. He finally got home and with a huge wrapped thumb and we were on our way. We finally left Ryan's parents house around 8:45pm. We got to our little hotel in St. George at 1:00 in the morning, good thing I booked the cheapest hotel in St. George! We only had to pay $27! Before we went to bed we were praying, which is one of our new year's resolutions:to pray together kneeling down and not laying in bed, and Ryan prayed that we'd receive an answer in regards to the future of our little family. We've been praying for some sort of direction for some time now and haven't received anything.

We went to the temple and Ryan had to have someone button his shirt because of his thumb:) Ryan looked over at me and I was a water hose! I had tears coming down my cheeks and they wouldn't stop. I hadn't felt the spirit like that for a really long time. I had received our answer. Yeah! It is so exciting!! I wanted to remember that day forever so I took this picture to try to capture the moment.

3 Great Years

Ryan and I just celebrated our three year anniversary. We had won a stay at the Alaska Inn at an auction and decided to use it. It is so awesome up there. We stayed in their biggest cabin which was AMAZING! Ryan called and had them put rose petals out and chocolate covered strawberries.

We also went to eat at our favorite restaurant: The Oaks. While we were waiting for our dinner we wrote 10 things we loved about each other

Toothbrush

So growing up my parents used to share their toothbrush sometimes and I thought it was so NASTY! If some of you do that, I won't judge. Well this morning I was brushing my teeth and stopped in mid stroke and was like, "this isn't the color of my toothbrush"! I decided to hurry and just finish brushing my teeth. Ryan was about to wake up to get ready to go to school so I freaked out knowing he would know I used it because it'd be wet. Ryan would FREAK if he knew I used his toothbrush! So at 7:00 this morning instead of blow drying my hair I was blow drying Ryan's toothbrush so he wouldn't even know! Haha, don't tell him or I will be dead...not really, but he'd give me crap about it.

Christmas Eve

I didn't take any pictures Christmas Eve or Christmas day but my brother Aaron took pics on Christmas Eve snowboarding. It used to be tradition that us kids would go skiing on Christmas Eve but we haven't done it in years. we decided to start it up again this year. It was sooo much fun with all the kids. Everyone came except for Ryan. He was at home really sick...is that rude of me to leave him? Krew did awesome snowboarding for the first time. He got a picture taken by the wolf mascott but they haven't sent it to me yet (nordic was going to send it to my e-mail). Emma skied for the first time and was a natural! Natalie talked me into doing the missle. We also talked Jayden in to doing it on his skis: HiLArioUS!!! He got all the way to the end and his legs spread apart and he did the splits!

We took Jayden and Klint ice skating. It was so much fun. Ryan and Jayden were pros...me and Klint on the other hand had a little trouble! It was tons of fun. They both slept over. I don't know why I keep doing that because you can just imagine two 8 year old boys! I woke up to them having a burping contest at 7 am!

Negative Nancy

I'm going to be Negative Nancy for a moment: December has SuCkEd and I'm hoping next week will make it all better with Christmas and everything.

Just a few of the things that have happened in December:

I got on the scale...bad idea! I've gained 10 pounds since I've started my new job! Yikes, that means 10 pounds in three months. I don't know what the deal is.

I wrecked both cars. Yep! Your right, it was at the same time. I forgot to put the e-brake on in the jeep and it rolled out of the garage into my new car: $1000 or more to fix.

We had to do artificial insemination again. Doctor told us we can do it more but the chances of us getting pregnant from it are slim since we've done it so much with no success, next step invetro or adoption: Big decision!

Got in my car today and had a huge crack in the windshield.

We refinanced but out old mortgage company still took out the house payment and we had to wait two weeks for the refund.

On a better note: It's going to be ChRiStMAs next week and I'm so excited. I also know that all the things I have complained about can be fixed and I'm glad we are so fortunate as we are. We are really lucky. I just wanted to complain for a second because it seems as though things won't stop happening!!

Thanksgiving in December

No, not really. I'm just now posting about it!

This year was the Love's year so we went up to the cabin and had everyone there except Nat and Aaron. We even got to have Grandma and Grandpa Love and Grandma Woolsey.

It first started off with the dinner but I don't have any pictures of that....Just imagine 21 people sitting around eating dinner.

Then we went skeet shooting which has become a tradition for the past three years. It is so much fun. This year we tried something different and played lightning like Basketball but instead you would just have to shoot the clay pigeon before the person in front of you. It was so much fun. I get so competitive. I got my brother Kory out twice!!! In you face Kory!!! Me and Ryan got 2nd and third place.

Then we came back and played games, and like always, Kresta won. We played this really fun game called lcr, left center right, and you play for money. It was hilarious. My grandma would blow on the dice for good luck! Kory ended up winning that one.

October Festivities

BEWARE...THIS IS A REALLY LONG BLOG...I HAD TO CATCH UP...
We started the month off with Southern Utah! We went down to Marysvale for conference weekend. It was beautiful! I love this time of year because the air is crisp and the leaves are awesome! We stayed in the cutest cottage. It has an old fashioned bath tub and you had to pull a chain for the toilet to flush. I was also able to see the Phillips from Ruston, LA. They now live there in Marysvale.

Our Halloween party: (sorry, don't be offended if I don't have a picture of you...we missed a couple people)
Me and Ryan went as the 90's, Ryan's hair (you can't really tell from the pictures) was cut in a bowl cut and they left a rat tail! It was so hideous! He said when he went to get hair cut he asked the girl to do it and this other lady yelled "NO! Why would you ever want to do that!"

Our Yard

We are no longer white trash and have a yard!! I love it. I love going out and getting the weeds out of the plant area, I love mowing it, I just love everything about it. Daren, our neighbor, did and AmAZiNG job and if you need someone to help you out I would totally use him. He was awesome to work with! Thanks Allie for letting us steal him away so many times!! We had everyone over to help which really was very nice of them because laying sod is NOT easy!

The good ole state of Louisiana

I received a text from Dean Williams that Sister Hughes was getting baptized in two weeks. I almost started crying right then and there. If any of you know about my mission, you know about Sister Hughes. She is 74 years old and we instantly grew a strong bond between us. We asked her several times to get baptized and she always said she wouldn't because her family would get mad or she was scared of the water. My mom and I booked our flight and were ready to go witness this beautiful ceremony.

It was a very special service. I couldn't stop crying because I thought I'd never see the day. She had to get baptized four times! It took two times to finally get her dunked and they thought it worked and she went to go get changed and the sister missionaries came in and said she needed to get dressed again because Brother Malone had used the wrong hand. They went back into the font and did it another 2 times!! It was hilarious.

While I was in Louisiana we visited Ruston, where I had served 7 1/2 months. We visited Sister Breeland, saw Brother Moseley's grave, ate lunch with Dorene, and went to the Love's. I tried to go see Sister London but we missed her.

I also got to SKY DIVE!!! Dean Williams, a guy that I taught and was baptized, lined it up so I could go sky diving. It was so AweSoMe! We drove up and my mom was a nervous wreck!! Then we saw the runway and it was grass...I started to rethink what I was doing. I got in my jump suit and the guy taking me walked me through step by step what was going to happen. We hoped in this tiny plane and were off. We started getting up pretty high and I asked if we were almost there and he said we were only at 4000 feet and we were going to 10,000 feet. I really got nervous. Then when we got closer he said it was time to get strapped to him. Then we together lifted the door open and I stepped out on the ledge on we were off!!! We dropped for 30 seconds going 160 mph then we pulled the shoot and went for another 5 minutes. It was so freakin amazing!!

I was also able to see Jacob, Natalie's little boy. He has grown up so much. I'm sad I didn't get to see Natalie and Tom but was thrilled to see their family.

Sister Hughes family came over on Sunday to visit and they are the most amazing family. My mom and I just couldn't believe they aren't baptized yet. The way Kent and Carrie work together and laugh together you can tell they really love each other.

Finally, our last night there we spent over at the Sparish's house. It was a blast! They had their original fish fry and hush puppies. I loved it!!! It was so deelicious.

St. George

We went to St. George two weekends ago with the Jones side of the family. It was for our Christmas present. It was a blast! We went to see Bryan Regan (spelling) and he was hilarious! The boys went golfing and the girls got a pedicure. On the way home Derek's car broke and so we spent a couple of hours on the side of the road but that didn't stop Kelle, my mother-n-law, from having fun. I wish I had a picture of her having fun with a giant ant hill. She was determined to demolish it! It was an overall great trip!

Ryan and I have been to Lagoon almost every Saturday since it opened. Last Saturday we went because we were coming home from SLC and decided to go for a couple of rides...we rode two and called it good.

We also had a graduation party for our friend Joni. I called Dave to see if he was doing anything for her and he said no so I said well that's going to have to change. He told her it was my birthday party so she would be surprised. Ryan went and got this metal man that Kory made and dressed him up as a graduate:

Me and my cute nephew, Alex (3), almost share the same birthday, his is on the 18th and mine is on the 19th. We decided to do a joint birthday. We started out having a sleep over at my house. Alex brought his little backpack and was so excited. We then went to RMR to watch the twins race their motorbikes. We were there 10 minutes and Alex had already fell asleep in my arms. Karl crashed pretty bad and had to go to the hospital, but luckily he is okay and is going to try it again when he recovers.

The next day we went to Lagoon. My whole family got Lagoon season passes for Christmas and decided Lagoon would be the best place to have fun. It was a blast!! I haven't felt like a kid like that FOREVER! Alex was so funny. For weeks before our birthday he would say, "Lagoon, Heather, Ryan!!" It has been so long since I have gone to Lagoon. Wicked was so freakin awesome!!! Anyway, it was probably my most favorite birthday I think. I love Alex and can't imagine a better person to celebrate my birthday with! Ryan got me the necklace I have wanted for two years now and also let me sign up for the Wasatch Back relay race!!! I am sooo excited!! My good friend Ben couldn't use his slot so he let me buy it from him.

This was the log ride in Pioneer Village. I don't know who's bright idea it was to go on that ride first. We got soaked! It was so funny seeing Natalie and Brandon having to share a seat. You should have seen there faces when the worker told them to get in and sit down!! Priceless!

Las Vegas with the girls

This is a little late but I finally found my camera that had these pictures. Natalie, my mom, and I went to Vegas for a Storage shed convention...I know what you are thinking, "what in the world would you do at a storage shed convention, they have a convention for everything now a days" We actually learned quit a bit. There is a lot to learn actually about the legals of selling peoples crap who don't pay. It was super fun and made me realize we need to do "Just girl" things more often. We also found this way cool store, Max Rave, which is only down there and it was way cheap and super cute.

Real Salt Lake

We went to the Real Salt Lake soccer game on Saturday. It was so much fun!! Kelle and Max received four tickets from America First and so we got great seats and FREE food! It was awesome. We ate: hotdogs, hamburgers, popcorn, ice cream, pretzels, and all the drinks we wanted. We got to see the local Olympians from the past Olympics. We also got a surprise visit from David Archuleta. He partnered with the Make A Wish foundation for this little boy, Jonah, who is sick with a rare disease. It was Jonah's wish to sing at half time with David Archuleta. He has all his songs memorized and helped him sing the whole song. It was adorable and melted my heart. I took pictures but my phone go formatted so I lost everything!

Ryan and I had some lift tickets for Jackson Hole Resort that we needed to use up before the end of this year so we went up and stayed the weekend. It was beautiful weather!! The snowboarding was awesome! We really had a good time. We stayed in the same little cabins we stayed in for our honeymoon which brought back some fun memories.

On the way home we were driving near Star Valley and we went to pass this car because they were going really slow. When we tried to pass them they sped up and weren't letting us get over and eventually a car started to come in the other direction. Finally we got over and didn't think anything of it other than the guy driving the car not letting us get over was a FREAK! Then after about 10 minutes we got into town and when it became two lanes this Freak man darted at us with his car and was screaming out of his window at us. He screamed, "Get out of the car" but we weren't stupid!! I immediately started dialing 911 because I've never seen anyone that angry before. It was like he had the intent to kill us. By now we are in the median and he starts getting out of the car. Ryan guns it to get away from him now that he was out of the car. He comes right at us and hits our window and it shatters...by this point (I was on hold on 911!!) I was scared to my wits end. Ryan said I started saying all the bad words in the book, but I don't remember. I just remember saying, you are going to pay for that and he said, "No I'm not, I've already called the cops on you!" and I said, "What the freak do you think they are going to say when they see you busted out our window??? You are a freak!" and he said, "You know I am" and got in his car and was holding his hand. We were both in shock and don't really remember what happened after that. The 911 lady finally came on the line and couldn't understand me because I couldn't stop crying and she yelled at me to stop...which made it worse!!! Anyway, the cops can't find him and we didn't get his license plate. If anyone sees a really nice black infinity in Star Valley get his license plate and stay FAR FAR AWAY! We had to pay for the window out of our pocket because the deductible was $1000.

That night I was fine, but the next day I was a WRECK! I couldn't get a hold of myself. His face will probably run through mind a lot for a while. I wish I could describe it better, he was just so angry. I am so glad we are okay.

We've been busy the last couple weeks and we take a lot of pictures...here is what we have been doing:

Jayden turned 8 and spent the weekend with us. It was so much fun. He is the sweetest kid! Ryan took him out Saturday and took his baptism pictures and they turned out so dang cute!

We went and saw Kory race in a motor-cross and he won first!! He seriously needs to move up a category because he wins by so much!

We went to watch the Park City Aerial contest. I was so excited for it!! We left a little bit late because Ryan didn't get off work when he thought. We got up there right as they finished. We had to wait in traffic to get home for about an hour and a half!!! That didn't stop Ryan from having fun though. He walked around the cars outside and took a bunch of random pictures and talked to a bunch of drunk women!! He cracked me up. It was so funny how people got so excited that he was talking their pictures:

So today I went to the bathroom and I hate sitting on public bathroom seats so I always make a seat out of toilet paper. After I was done doing my business I saw out of the corner of my eye the "seat" fell off the side of the toilet and I remember thinking, "Dangit, now I have to pick it off the floor". When I went to pick the piece that fell off I didn't see it and just figured it went into the toilet...

meanwhile I went about my day at work...I did a background check on a new professor...walked right in front of him...talked to the insurance man....etc, etc. Two hours later Ryan and I went to lunch at Great Harvest bread.

There was a tap at my shoulder and when I turned around the woman was really close to me. She said, "Mam, I just wanted to tell you that you have toilet paper coming out of your pants!" I felt my face fill with blood and get beat red. I turned to Ryan who was wondering what was going on and turned around...he looked down and busted a gut laughing. I died. I told the lady thanks and that she was a really nice person for having the guts to tell me because my friends at work didn't have the nerve to tell...

I came back into the office and the insurance guy said he saw it when I was walking away from him and it was about a foot long and when he went to come tell me someone came in and started talking to him and I had already left when he came to find me. The only other person that saw it was the new professor, I'm sure of it, and the kid that works by me that was probably to shy to tell me.

I called my mom and told her and she was laughing so hard I could hear it echo throughout her house...I guess it's up to me to make people always laugh...things like this always happen to me!!!

Winter Dew Tour

Ryan and I went up to the Winter Dew tour and took Elizabeth and Jayden with us. It was lots of fun. It was mostly fun to watch Jayden get so excited about all of the vendor activities. He rode the mechanical bull, won a bean bag toss, wanted a picture with the monster, etc. We also had a perfect spot for the Women's half pipe but had to leave because it got really cold and Liz couldn't feel her feet! I can’t remember if I made one or not. This year is to be more spiritual. I never say my prayers or read my scriptures…but Karl’s homecoming talk inspired me to be better.

Yes, my sister Natalie and Kresta: Otis and Kache!

Christmas

We had our first Christmas in our home and it was soo nice! I had to wake up Ryan at 6:30 because I couldn't lay in bed anymore. He said he was still sleeping so we agreed that we would get up in a half hour at 7:00. I was soooo excited to give Ryan his presents! I spoiled him this year...and he spoiled me too!!!

I got Ryan a shotgun and the supplies for it (bullets, clay pigeons, case, etc), and snowboard boots.
Ryan got me a Wii and Wii fit and a thing for my car that will start the car and unlock the doors when from outside. I'm so excited for it! No more getting into a cold car!
Then I made German Pancakes because that is a tradition in our family. Then Ryan's family came over and then my family came over.

Later that day we went to my Grandma Woolsey's.

That night we went to Aunt Julie and Uncle Paul's house for Gumbo...it's my favorite!

We got our cat a play house thing...she loves it!

We went to Mexico with our friends this month and it was a BLAST!!

Fun things that happened:(bummer but we had two cameras and one of my cameras pictures got deleted;(

I had my first alcohol drink! We got to our hotel that night and they handed us all drinks and I was drinking it when Wendy asked if it had alcohol and they said "Yes"!
We stayed in a cool resort

I forgot some special "products" and paid $10 at the resort for one box, but decided that was a rip off so we went to Wal-Mart to buy some more and I wanted to steal this motorcycle that was just sitting there outside.

We rode lots of trolleys around the resort
Dave grew some boobs...
Ryan pulled me on a cart
We raced in a taxi cab down the freeway going about 110 mph! I was scared for my life, but Ryan enjoyed every moment of it!
We had some great company:
Ryan was happy about the free drinks...all you wanted (just to verify...no alcohol)
The topless women were hilarious on the beach
We went to Tulum, an ancient Myan site (don't mind my retarted glasses! They look like the glasses you get when your eyes get dilated!)

We went out to eat for dinner night and got dressed up

"The Woman"

Last week my sister Natalie got a call from the Fish and Game. Don't worry she didn't get caught killing anything...it was good news! My dad has been putting us all in to kill a Bison on Antelope Island. He has been putting in forever and it was Natalie who got the call. They called her Thursday and had to go that same day to take a special class on how to kill a buffalo! When she called me she was beaming through the phone with excitement. She was on cloud nine the whole weekend. Bj, my brother, was soooo jealous and so was my dad. The whole time Bj kept telling her he would pay her x amount of dollars to let him pull the trigger.

Through out the weekend Natalie would call and ask what she should wear...she had to be in style because you know she is going to be in a magazine! I mean really, what other girl shoots a huge buffalo at Antelope Island? Just my RAD sister. So, like always, she was lookin good Monday morning when we went out for the hunt.

No one wanted to miss this experience. They all had to live through her. My dad, Bj, Klint, Jake, Red, Jayden, Aaron, Alex, Otis, My mom, and me all went out to watch. We had to be out there at 7:00 am to meet our guide. There were only 5 other hunters that got drawn out...all boys. When we pulled up there were men everywhere. Natalie said when she went inside for the mini meeting before the hunt they all looked at her with the thought of "What in the Hell is she doing here?"

Bob, our guide, started us taking us around. We instantly saw some huge buffalo and got to watch them fight. We decided to take our time and find the winner. We drove around and finally found a huge one on the hillside. Red, Jake, and Bj went up to scare it down towards us. We hiked up so that we could be in a good range for Natalie to shoot. All of the sudden we heard my mom honking the horn like crazy and yelling, "it's right here, it's right here!" It had gone around us without us knowing and it was standing right in front of the car. By the time we ran back down the hill it was too far to shoot. Red volunteered to chase it some more until it came back into range...he kept running and running until we couldn't see him anymore so we went back off the mountain....we finally decided just to find another one.

Meanwhile, the butcher that was on the island radioed the guide and said, "Has the woman decided if she needs me today?" I said, "I didn't know there was another lady out here!" The guide said, "No, she IS The Woman". It was hilarious.

We finally came up on a crowd of good ones. The whole time Bj, Jake, Red, Dad, and Aaron had all there gadgets to tell us how far it was away, if it had a good mane, if it had good horns, etc. We decided that she was going to shoot one of the ones we found.

This picture is one of my favorites because it shows the obsessed, jealous men!

She sat down and got ready....and sat some more...and breathed...and sat some more...and warmed up her trigger finger...and finally shot...5 times before it finally fell over. Each time she shot right were she needed to.

You should have seen her face when it was done! Her smile was priceless!!!

Then the other buffalo went and smelled it and started getting upset with us and snorting. It was really scary. It was huge! They said it was about 1600 lbs! It took a tractor to put it into the truck and all the guys to roll it over.

When the butcher was gutting it, Jayden said, "Klint, dude look at it's heart!" The butcher clarified, "no that is his man parts". It was actually the balls. Ha ha

Tis the season...

I love this time of year. I love the snow, I love family time, I love the lights, and I love the feeling of the season!

This year we spent Thanksgiving at the Jones'. It was lots of fun. We had a big dinner at the church and they had volleyball set up and a mini-golf course.

Things I was grateful for:

-When me and Ryan laugh together...there is nothing more that I love than this!

-My sister, she's my best friend!

-My parents...I really have realized lately how my mom is the most amazing mom!

-I love how my brothers and sisters are my closest friends.

-We really have the GREAT friends....I'm grateful to be going to Cancun with them on Friday!

-My brother who is on a mission.

-My mission experience

-Our pets...we are weird animal people!

-Our house!!!

-Ryan's family! I was so lucky to marry into such a sweet family!

-Last, but not least, the gospel...I wouldn't have any of the above to be grateful without the gospel...it is the reason why I am where I am today: Happy!

Adams' Canyon

We (Mitch, Ryan, and I) went hiking up Adams' Canyon. I haven't done it for a couple of years. I forget how pretty it is. I forgot how hard it is too! I am so out of shape. Luckily Mitch brought his dogs and they pulled me up! Then the next week Kory, Ryan, and I went horseback riding up there. It was Beautiful!! Here's the pictures:

Ryan's birthday is on the 30th of October so I decided to have a Halloween Birthday party. It was so much fun! We played some fun games I've never played before. We also learned a new game at Erin's party the week earlier. It's called Ninja and I love playing it!!! I even just taught the young women how to play it tonight. Anyway, Ryan is now a whopping 25 years old...here's the pictures:

Mission Reunion

My mission president and his wife just came home and so they had their first mission reunion! It was so much fun seeing them and seeing all the other missionaries that I served with. Here is a picture of the sisters that I served with...thanks Crystal I stole your picture of Facebook!

Also, we have Dean Williams and Anne Moses from my first area, Bossier, staying with us right now. It is so much fun seeing and spending time with them. I always think about the friends I would have missed out on if I hadn't gone on a mission. I can't imagine life without them.

I was sitting in our new bedroom and Ryan yells, "Heather get in here and look at this!" and he is sitting on our table with his laptop with internet! Our new neighbors must have internet because we haven't had it here until they just moved in this weekend....long story short, I am blogging now at my kitchen table, Yeah!

We just went horse back riding with our friends Mitch and Wendy. It was so beautiful. The leaves were amazing colors.

Marysville with the Webb Family

Our sweet friends, Mitch and Wendy, let us intrude on their annual Marysville trip. It was so much fun and DiRTy! We rode four wheelers both days and you get so dirty, especially because the boys have to be right behind each other so the dust really gets in your face! Ryan also saw a bear, but by the time he rushed and got us all we couldn't find it, just saw it's tracks. Ryan couldn't just go accross the river, he had to go up the river.

She is one of the most dearest friends I have ever and probably will ever have. We instantly bonded on my mission when I picked her up fresh from the MTC and she said that she loved long boarding...the rest is history! She got married about a month ago and I am finally blogging her pictures. She was a beautiful bride!

First let's start with something positive. Ryan and I haven't gone on a vacation all summer long, because Summers are his busy time. We decided to still go up to the Graze River by Jackson Hole with my family even if it meant driving up at midnight. We got up there at 1:00 in the morning and it was well worth it. It is beautiful up there.

Now for the house update...not so positive. I've heard the last part takes the most time...I think I'm having a mental breakdown. In fact, I had a break down at the dump the other day: So we have a dump trailer parked on the side of our house so that the construction workers can put the building scraps in and any other garbage around. Well, the trailer was chuck full and it was my responsibility to go and dump it at the dump....My dad had church meetings and my lovely husband works all the time (which I'm not complaining about). Anyway, I borrow my dad's truck and go try to hook up the trailer. After trying to back it up to the trailer for 20 minutes, my electrician was probably laughing hysterically inside as I failed each time. He finally came out and helped. We got it hooked up. Then my dad warned me that if I didn't put a cover on the trailer they would "send you to jail". After 30 more minutes I finally rigged a tarp on top the trailer....it was a sight to be seen. It was hardly a cover, pieces were sticking out everywhere.

Finally, I was on the road. I had sweat dripping off my forehead and had said every swear word in the book. I get to the dump and the lady said, "Okay mam, just pull it up onto the dirt." I pull forward and see acres of dirt....where in the Hell was I supposed to go. I pull down a road and start hearing horns and I look over and see 3 ginormous tractors and men waving...by now I am on the verge of the breakdown. I pull the trailer around and jump out next to a guy. I hit the ground in my flip flops and sink in GARBAGE!!!

I completely LoSe it! I look at the guy and start bawling and say:"I am standing in SHIT and my husband is working and no one has helped me. Girls aren't supposed to do crap like this." You should have saw the look on his face. He said, "Mam, don't cry, please don't cry." He told me to back the trailer up. I asked him to please do it and he said, "We really aren't supposed to do this for anyone, but I'm going to hurry and get in and do everything for you, just DON'T tell anyone." Oh my gosh it was embarrasing. He was a garbage angel sent from God.

Little Otis

My sister is the best sister in the world. She let me go into the delivery room with her new little baby. I have a really weak stomach so I didn't watch. I just stood by Natalie and watched from her view. Oh my gosh. If I can give birth as easy as Natalie did, I would do it tomorrow. It was NOT like the movies. They just came in and said, wow Natalie, this little boy wants to come out. Her doctor was super amazing and funny. They just said push a couple times and Natalie didn't even make a noise. When I first saw little Otis he had so much hair!!! Which is weird for Love babies. The funny thing was, they took him to clean him off and he all of the sudden I felt something wet on my foot. Otis was peeing on me. The nurse covered him up and moved the towel again...Otis peed on me again!!! The doctor said he was very "Pee-Od" at his aunt. It was really neat to watch Natalie and Aaron hold him for the first time.
While we were waiting for Natalie to start her doctor saw my camera and asked if he could play with it. I guess he does photography on the side for fun. He taught me a couple things, because I know nothing about it. I thought I would try the setting he put it at. I took Alex and Ryan and made them sit still for a minute. By the time I did Ryan's pictures, it was a little too dark.

4th of July

The 4th of July was so much fun! Elizabeth, our niece, slept over so that we could wake up early and go run the Layton 5k. Afterwards, we went to the parade with Natalie and Aaron and her kids and Brandon and Kresta and their kids. It was so much fun watching Alex and Krew get so excited over the littlest things. Then we had a bbq at Grandma Woolsey's. Then we went boating with Nat and Aaron. It was the first time I went wakeboarding in 2 years! I love it. Then we went to the fire works with our friends. Another house update

Sorry for the boring blogs on my house. If you've built a house, I'm sure you understand that each little new thing is a HUGE thing. I swear I drive by like 3 times a day. So, they put the garage door on and I FrEAked out! I don't think it matches. What do you think? I think it matches a little bit better because the trim by the roof that they just put up is the same color as the garage. I just don't like that it has a yellow tint to it. Let me know what you think.

Ryan and my dad working on moving dirt...so that's another story...Friday my dad was using Brandon's dump truck and tipped it....they think it's totaled. I feel AWFUL. Brandon and my dad have worked so hard on it.

The inside is going great. We decided to save money we would do our own tile. I really don't think I would do it again...well I probably would, but in a few years when I forget the hell it put me through. My hands were rubbed raw and I had blisters everywhere. We had lots of help: My parents were there from 7:00 in the morning until 8:00 at night most of the week. Max, Ryan's dad came and helped. Brandon came one night. Garret let us use his staple gun..which crap! I forgot to get back to him. Hazen came and helped a ton too. Thank you everyone!!
